The design behind the Nike Mayfly is a bit of a curious one to aim towards the Tier Zero set, considering that the sneakers were originally intended for a one-time marathon use, their ephemeral nature indicated by the insect they share a name with. On paper a pair that’s built to be ran in once doesn’t seem a likely favorite amongst a crowd prone to stashing kicks in boxes for years on end and squeezing every ounce out of them, but the unique design and solidly blocked releases have built some buzz nonetheless. Following an Asia-only release, the Nike Mayfly Tier Zero is now ready to land in the US, with heads in NYC getting a chance to pick up a pair this Friday at the Manhattan KITH location for $100. Follow us after the jump to get a look at the black and fresh mint colorway of the Nike Mayfly Tier Zero.
