Nike Soccer‘s Away National Team Kit for Portugal is inspired by the country’s storied seafaring past and famous explorers. The white jersey features a large cross on the front, bisected diagonally with green and red halves meant to signify the Armillary Sphere, a Portuguese national symbol for 500 years that’s found on the national flag. The kit represents the epitome of athletic performance mixed with environmental sustainability, with the shorts made from 100% recycled polyester and the shirt 96% recycled polyester. An average of 13 recycled plastic bottles goes into each kit. The fabric, 23 percent lighter than the previous version’s from four years ago, is embedded with Dri-FIT technology and regulates players’ temperatures by wicking moisture away from body. The base layer apparel includes the Nike Pro Combat Hyperstrong shorts and Hypercool 2.0 top, the former providing added support through padded waist and thigh protection, as well as breathable mesh in high-heat zones. The latter features superior ventilation to help athletes keep cool. Check out more looks following the click.
