While Mihara Yasuhiro made his bones in the world of footwear, developing his first line of shoes in 1994 while enrolled at Tama Art University, the designer is now a force to be reckoned with in the menswear firmament. His signature style emphasizes proportion and drape, highlighted by this loose-fitting plaid gown coat. Part of Miharayasuhiro’s collaboration with the Black Sense Market, the garment is constructed from 100% rayon and features three-button closure, besom pockets and button hook straps to maintain rolled up sleeves. A similar plaid pattern is used on an accompanying western shirt, equipped with snap buttons, flap pockets and western yokes at the front and back. Both pieces are available now at the Black Sense Market’s online store.
