To celebrate the 20th anniversary of eponymous French footwear label Christian Louboutin, Studio XAG was commissioned to create a World of Louboutin concept space within London’s landmark Selfridges store. The retail display specialists worked with the designer himself on five window displays on Selfridge’s Oxford Street and Orchard Street facades. The windows were fashioned with 2D graphics, with each image photographed specifically for the project, and arranged to highlight symmetry, changing scale, repetition and kaleidoscopic motion. They also showcased key products from the 20th anniversary capsule collection, as well as select men’s seasonal styles and reissued iconic styles from the archive.
