There is simply no better way to welcome Spring than the brilliant floral prints from Marimekko. Animated and colorful, those most familiar patterns from Finnish design label found themselves once again on CONVERSE‘s most popular footwear as the CONVERSE ♥ Marimekko Collection returns for Spring 2012. Instantly recognizable, the new rendition features some of Marimekko’s most famous patterns. There is the Lokki, Finnish for seagull, imprinted on Chuck Taylor All Stars and Jack Purcell Helen, a design originally named for Purcell’s wife Helen. Another familiar design, the blue Unikko, or poppy in Finnish, make its return as well on the silhouette of Chuck Taylor All Stars. Created by Maija Isola, the most renowned designer from Marimekko, the Unikko is followed by Appelsiini, or orange, and Muija, or women, in yellow, two other designs from Isola, on Jack Purcell Helen. To complete the collection, the Kameka pattern by Marimekko designer Annika Rimala lavishes a pair of Chuck Taylor All Star PJ. Ten designs in total, all will be available at select CONVERSE retail locations around the globe in the coming weeks.
