Mercedes-Benz‘s already imposing seven-passenger GL-Class SUV gets a equally sizable make over for 2013, complete with new styling inside and out. Growing by an inch in length and a tad more in height and width translates to additional room for all three rows of passengers as they enjoy a new sedan-like interior. For the driver, Mercedes opted for a “photo quality” color instrument display as the multimedia screen makes its way to the top of the dashboard. In the engine department, you now get your choice of the V6 GL350 BlueTec or one of the two twin-turbo V8s in the GL450 and GL550, each with more power than before. The GL350 tops out at 240 horsepower and 455 pound-feet, up 30 hp and 55 lb-ft; while the GL450 returns 362 hp and 406 lb-ft, a boost of 27 hp and 67 lb-ft; and the monstrous GL550 turns out 429 hp and 516 lb-ft, up by 47 hp and an equally impressive 127 lb-ft. While pricing hasn’t been announced, Mercedes-Benz certainly provided a lot of eye candy for us to look at after the jump.
