BMW i8 Concept Spyder – Foldable Kick Scooters

By - April 9th, 2012

Because we all have to deal with traffic and road congestion in the near future, no matter the advancements in automotive technologies, designers at BMW have devised a simple solution to the problem – scooters. Tucked away in the trunk of its most recent BMW i8 Concept Spyder, two foldable kick scooters act as a design study to an alternate method of short distance commute. More than just a plaything for kids, the scooters are composed of the same lightweight carbon fiber material found on the i8 Concept Spyder and carry over the same color schemes from the car. With 100 liters in trunk space volume, a fold-able BMW mountain bike is a complementary option as well, though it remains to be seen if BMW will go ahead and build the i8 Concept Spyder.
