Ruslan Karablin, better known as SSUR, has been a fixture in the downtown New York City art scene for nearly two decades. The Russian-born artist spent his formative years in Coney Island, New York, with the city’s architecture, amusement parks and beaches igniting his imagination and serving as inspiration for his later work. Some of those pieces will be showcased at L.A.’s http://knowngallery.com/” target=”_blank”>Known Gallery, which is scheduled to host SSUR’s first comprehensive solo exhibition in Los Angeles. Entitled “The Evil That Men Do,” the show’s themes will span “politics, culture clashes and everyday struggles.” The exhibit will open this Saturday and run through April 21st.
