One possible silver lining from the demise of Maybach premium brand (and the subsequent $100,000 in rebate to customers) was Mercedes-Benz‘s realization of its dominance in the ultra-luxury vans market sector. Its Sprinter van is already a favorite mode of transport for dignitaries and celebrities like Blue Ivy Carter. Now with the introduction of its new mid-size Viano line, Mercedes-Benz wasted no time to unveil its bespoke variant, the Viano Vision Diamond. In its custom two-tone appearance, blacked-out front grille, and special rims, one doesn’t drive the Viano Vision Diamond but gets chauffeur in one. The custom paint job of Black and Diamond White continues onto the interior, where the driver compartment is in black and spacious passenger compartment is in white. Two stretch out seats with heating, cooling, and massage functions dominate the passenger area. Holders for Champagne flutes and wine cooler nestle nicely in between them. Separating the front and back is a glass partition that doubles as a stowaway entertainment system with Bang & Olufsen “BeoLiving Viano” sound system plus a 40-inch flat screen TV, all operated by either Apple iPad 2 or iPhone 4. Finally, to cater to the Nouveau riche of China, 8 diamonds are embedded into the interior trim to signify the Chinese lucky number “8″.
