Though the “Nike SB” markings have been taken out on the most recent P-Rod V and Eric Koston 1 releases, Nike kept the “Nike SB” designation to its May 2012 Nike SB Dunk Low Premium, thus adding more to the already confounding future of skateboarding line.
But beside that complex deliberation, the new Nike SB Dunk Low Premium follows the design tradition of unusual inspiration, in this case Oscar The Grouch from children’s television program Sesame Street. In worn Matt Silver suede, a representation of Oscar’s metallic garbage can which doubles as his home, vibrant Classic Green peeks through as laces, sock liner, outsole, and the Nike Swoosh. Available now as part of Nike SB May 2012 releases at Michigan’s PREMIER and other Nike SB retailers.
