Yo Brooklyn! Here is the official logo to your new basketball team, the Brooklyn Nets. Unveiled this morning across the team’s new home, the soon-to-be finished Barclay Center, the Brooklyn Nets’ new logo is a throwback to the old New York City Subway medallion. The logo actually comes in two forms. One, the primary, is in the popular shield silhouette with bold “NETS”, “BROOKLYN” lettering on top and bottom, and the “B” basketball insignia in between. The other, a secondary, is a circular emblem with “B” basketball insignia at the center and a “Brooklyn New York” wrap-around. Created in part by the team’s minority owner, Jay-Z, both logos, as well as the team’s colorway, will be in a black and white color scheme, which adheres to Jay-Z’s motto of “All Black, Everything”.
