New Balance has released an updated version of the 990 runner, originally introduced way back in 1982. The American-made shoe is sleeker and a half-ounce lighter than its predecessor, carrying a classic design that features a premium pigskin suede upper with breathable mesh inlay. Technical benefits include ABZORB cushioning for maximum shock absorption, as well as enhanced support and stability courtesy of the ENCAP midsole. Ndurance outsole is good for increased durability, while a dual density collar provides comfortable cushioning around the ankle. The revamped 990 is in stock now at select New Balance retailers and online.
