Today, Nike officially revealed the Nike Zoom 9 Tour for Summer 2012; a Tinker Hatfield-designed tennis sneaker specifically engineered to the exact specifications and preferences of tennis’ Grand Slam Champ, Roger Federer, for the summer season. The Zoom Vapor 9 Tour model debuted earlier this year to wide acclaim based on its ability to balance comfort and breathability with style and performance. This running-inspired, but tennis-refined shoe features several top Nike performance aspects, including Nike’s Dynamic Fit system for maximum lockdown, and a glove-like fit thanks to its lightweight mesh breathable upper. “Fingers” placed on the outside mold to the shape of your foot, resulting in a custom fit that moves with you during play; a feature that Nike has adopted into their latest Lunarglide+4 designs. Synthetic leather mesh on the upper and the TPU foot-frame around the mid-foot provides additional stability during quick cuts while rubber overlays in high-wear spots keep your shoes looking good all season long. Look for the Summer 2012 version of the Zoom Vapor 9 Tour to launch in the coming months.
