The crew at Driftwood Collective have released another DIY video where these ultra-talented artists remake a surfboard almost entirely using materials they found in a trash bin. Known for making industrious use of their time not out on the water, DWC rescued a broken longboard, reshaped and fixed its wounds, and added a set of unique fins fashioned from an old wooden wine box, ultimately resulting in a ” green awkward looking little board” that is clearly as much fun for them to ride as it was to build. These kind of projects — where beautiful products are refashioned from what others leave behind – are few and far between. The work done by DWC and other similar brands, such as Halloway Eyewear, deserve equal time in the limelight. Click after the jump to watch the transformation and view some shots.
