Driftwood Collective Recycling a Surfboard

The crew at http://driftwoodcollective.org/” target=”_blank”>Driftwood Collective have released another DIY video where these ultra-talented artists remake a surfboard almost entirely using materials they found in a trash bin. Known for making industrious use of their time not out on the water, DWC rescued a broken longboard, reshaped and fixed its wounds, and added a set of unique fins fashioned from an old wooden wine box, ultimately resulting in a ” green awkward looking little board” that is clearly as much fun for them to ride as it was to build. These kind of projects — where beautiful products are refashioned from what others leave behind – are few and far between. The work done by DWC and other similar brands, such as http://freshnessmag.com/2012/03/07/holloway-eyewear/” target=”_blank”>Halloway Eyewear, deserve equal time in the limelight.
