Not only did OKC Thunder sweep the Mavericks out of their second pursuit of the championship title on Saturday, it also spelled the very last game Jason Kidd played as a Dallas Maverick, at least for the time being. Plenty of rumors have gone around now that Kidd is an unrestricted free agent, including one which involves Kidd playing “second fiddle” to Deron Williams, if the current Brooklyn Nets point guard were to join the Mavericks next season. But the more interesting speculation is that Kidd might be coming to the newly-formed Brooklyn Nets. The 39-year-old NBA veteran expressed interest recently in retiring as a Net, a team where he enjoyed much success during his 8 years there when they were still at New Jersey. There is no official word from Kidd or either organizations at this time.
