We’re familiar with Nike‘s penchant for refashioning its legacy sneakers with the latest technologies from the brand’s Innovation Kitchen. The results can be mixed, sure, but we applaud Nike’s ready willingness to go out on a design limb. It’s no surprise that the latest shoe from the brand’s archive to undergo a rehaul is the Blazer, a silhouette that celebrates its 40th birthday this year. A Lunarlon sole unit is combined with a breathable mesh upper, conferring upon the shoe an entirely new identity. The above image, courtesy of Tung Ho, depicts a shoe that isn’t expected to see an actual retail release, which is unfortunate — this Blazer redux is one redesign we can get behind.
