The first Nike Air Force 1 Year of the Dragon release lived up to its hype; the blacked-out silhouette featured layers of symbolism, including several dragons appearing through the clouds, traditional script, and a scaled Swoosh.  All told, it was a definitely a solid exhibition of Nike’s respect for the deep influence traditional Chinese culture still has today. Unlike the first version, however, the leaked photos of the Year of the Dragon II show a more colorful take on the dragon-inspired AF1. Although it wears a bright red and teal color combination across the upper and a leather-wrapped liner, the premium details aren’t easily lost: the mesh/canvas inlay is designed to mimic the scales of the dragon that appears on the tongue while teal laces match the remaining leather paneling. This second take also is equipped with a gold Swoosh, a white midsole, and a matching blue outsole. There’s not word yet on release details, so make sure to stay tuned to catch more information and images as they roll out. via: RegularOlTy
