The latest installment of Tumi‘s “Case Studies” series revolves around Eric Yang, co-founder of Gear Patrol. Eric begins packing as soon as he finds out he’s going to be traveling, a process that begins by starting a list. He jots down the weather conditions of his destination, then lists individual items he’ll need, beginning with shirts, shoes, jackets, etc. He stows his gear in the Tumi Vapor, a hardside case he refers to as a “blank slate,” which he personalizes with his belongings. He describes packing as a way of taking of a part of who he is on the road. See the video below, and check out Eric’s packing tips here.
