Personal training just took a step closer to total convergence this morning as Stefan Olander, VP of Nike Digital Sport, announced the new Nike+ Kinect Training at the ongoing 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). Unveiled as part of Microsoft keynote address, the Nike+ Kinect Training works exclusively with Kinect for Xbox 360 gaming system and addresses home training by athletes of all levels. With this new training tool, a supplement to your daily exercise routine, you will have a virtual personal trainer to assess your moves, strengths, and weaknesses. Then, it will create a personalized plan as well as real time response, to assist you in reaching your exercise goals. Just like a personal trainer, the system will reassess your progress and add recommendation, even reminder through your Windows Phone. No details are available on compatibility with other electronic systems thus far, though the Nike+ Kinect Training is set to launch during this Holiday season.
