PUMA Madison Classic

The most obvious connection between PUMA and the New York Knicks is, of course, the Clyde, named after Walt “Clyde” Frazier, who led the Knicks to two NBA championships in the early 1970s. A lesser known link is the PUMA Madison Classic, which gets its name from Madison Square Garden, veritable roundball shrine and home court for the Knickerbockers. The shoe has released in a trio of basic colorways, each built with a tonal leather upper featuring Velcro strap closure in lieu of traditional lacing, plus perforated form stripes along the side panels. Gilt PUMA branding at the tongue and heel finishes the details. The kicks are available now at Tokyo’s VA.
