HAROSHI Feet Sculpture with Transparent Skate Shoes

Tokyo-based artist http://haroshi.com/” target=”_blank”>Haroshi is known for his artwork featuring repurposed skate decks, but his latest creations use the multi-colored wood sculptures as something of a framing device for transparent skate shoes that anchor the individual pieces. The kicks are made up of a Nike Dunk, Vans Half Cab and Hufnagel Pro by HUF, while the wooden “feet” feature multi-color stripes in horizontal or vertical alignments, as well as a mosaic-like patchwork pattern. The works are displayed now through the http://jonathanlevinegallery.com/” target=”_blank”>Jonathan LeVine Gallery at the http://scope-art.com/” target=”_blank”>SCOPE show at http://basel.artbasel.com/go/id/ss/” target=”_blank”>Art Basel 2012. via:http://arrestedmotion.com/2012/06/basel-week-switzerland-12-haroshi-for-jonathan-levine-gallery-scope/” target=”_blank”>AR
