NICT Daedalus Cyber-Attack Alert System – 3D Graphic of Illegal Internet Breach in Real-Time | Video

By - June 20th, 2012

Japan’s National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) has developed Daedalus, a cyber-attack alert system that renders attacks on networks in real time. It does so in artful fashion, through a 3D visualization system that looks like it came from the anime film Ghost in the Shell. The large blue sphere in the middle represents the Internet, while the circles orbiting around it are networks under observation. Daedalus monitors how data flows through the network and checks for inconsistencies. If an attack is sensed, an alert goes off, and users can track and visualize the attack through any angle.
