Come this September at Iceland’s Rally Reykjavik, the venerable British automaker Land Rover will debut its new EXR off-road rally car. The product from a formal partnership between Land Rover and BOWLER Motorsport, the EXR is a spinoff of the popular Land Rover Sport SUV. A hydro-formed chassis supports the modified 5.0-liter V8 with 300 horsepower and a maximum torque of 582 Nm. A what EXR lacks in creature comfort on the inside makes it up in endurance on the outside with steel tubing as roll cage and braces. There is even an embedded hydraulic ramps to get out of soft sand dunes or unexpected tune-up during a race. The EXR is really a ride of thrills for any off-road racers.
