Brothers Ezra and Alex Cimino-Hurt have built a business around the adage “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” Their Portland-based company, Case of Base, repurposes old and discarded luggage to create portable sound systems with classic audio components, powered by lightweight Li-on battery packs. The pieces are categorized into four distinct classes — Courier, Debonair, Diplomat and Swarthy — depending on the case size and speaker capacity. They can also be built to customers’ specifications, including input types, amplifier size, power supply and batteries. Get your hands on your own Base of Case through the brand’s online store. via: GizMag
