Google is lending a hand to UK residents (or visitors, of which there will probably be more than a few for the upcoming Olympics) who have lost their way indoors, for example in a train station or museum, through its Indoor Maps feature. (It’s already available to users in the States and Japan as of last November.) Launching with maps of more than 40 locations — including airports, shopping malls and the National Theatre — Indoor Maps is integrated within Google Maps. Android users need just zoom in on the building to activate the feature. Since building owners can upload their maps to be added to the feature, the full list of venues will likely see growth in the future.
