Nikes Summer 2012 of Innovation Event | London

With all eyes directed toward London in anticipation of the upcoming Olympic Games, Nike held its Summer of Innovation Event in the heart of the city, showcasing a series of cutting-edge performance products for the track, basketball court, the pitch and beyond. Nike enlisted the help of some notable previous Gold Medal winners — Charles Barkley, Carl Lewis and Perri Shakes-Drayton — to introduce the following innovations: Track & Field Federation Kits with AeroSwift technology for improved aerodynamics; Nike Flyknit technology to create the featherweight Flyknit Racer and Flyknit Trainer+, with a formfitting virtually seamless upper; Nike+ Basketball and the Nike+ Training App, featuring the Nike+ Sport Sensor to break down the user’s game, as well as the collection of performance data to the user’s iPhone or iPad; the Nike 21st Century Windrunner with hyper reflective shell for the Medal Stand; Lunar Technology for the perfect running shoe; and finally the Nike GS football boot, the lightest, fastest production boot Nike has ever made.
