The New Balance 1600 silhouette is built perfectly for collaborations just as it is for running comfort. Boylston Trading Company agreed, joining with the American brand for a summer collection entitled the "Liberty, Justice, and Freedom" Pack. All three pairs - the red, the white, and the blue - feature a smooth selection of leather and suede, incorporating a star embossed pattern throughout the entire upper that includes the tongue, toebox, and ankle collar. A matching "Liberty," "Justice," and "Freedom" lace lock finish off each patriotic pair. The Red and White were scheduled for a wide release with the Blue making its way only to a select few, but unfortunately NB pulled the plug on their scheduled July Fourth release date (something creator Frank Rivera describes in more detail here) and now no one will get a pair. At least we can still enjoy their shots after the jump of what could have been. Too bad.
