Leading up to last weekend’s British Grand Prix leg of Formula 1, UK’s Sky TV premiered the first episode of Tooned, an animated short highlighting the race technologies as well as off-track antics of McLaren F1 drivers Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. Product of the McLaren Animation, a new media entity by racing giant McLaren Group and Oscar-winning visual effects house Framestore, Tooned consists of 12 three-minute episodes, each in high-quality CGI. The animated series might also branch beyond the big screens, with possible video games and mobile apps in the near future. But for now, enjoy the fun-filled video after the jump.
