If Nike is going to drive you to go big with their #MAKEITCOUNT campaign as they usher in their much-anticipated FuelBand, they certainly must practice what they preach. And this past Sunday, July 8, they did just that – bringing together over 2,000 guests at the iconic Battersea Power Station in SW London, which was turned into a humongous LED display not only demonstrating the innovation behind their most recent addition to their Nike+ system, but to challenge the guests to a friendly competition (girls versus guys) to see who could earn the most Fuel Points throughout the night (the girls won). DJ Zane Love along with Tinie Tempha and Magnetic Man provided motivation to get the crowd moving, whose energy was projected on the exterior of the landmark keeping score and lighting the city like it used to. If Nike is putting this much into their FuelBand, you can’t help but be excited for where this is going.
