A detour to a drab municipal parking lot in Bavarian state of Germany might just yield a happy coincidence. Introducing the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster Supercharged by tuning house VÄTH, a predatory vehicle that only looks like a shark but acts like one as well. Tweaked to squeeze out every possible horsepower from the factory installed 6.2-liter V8, VÄTH was able to increase the original yield of 563 horsepower to 691 with a maximum torque of 627-lb-ft. In terms of speed, the new tuned Roadster can propel down the 0 to 62 mph stretch in just 3.6 seconds, an increase of 0.2 seconds from the original. Other additions include new carbon fiber aero kit consists of front panel, side skirts, and rear spoiler, revamped interior in carbon fiber too, and new VÄTH branded 20-inch alloy wheels. Other alterations involve stainless steel exhaust system, suspension and sport springs to improve aerodynamics, and AMG Ride Control to compensate for the added power. The entire kit is available around EU€ 85,130, or US $104,400, in addition to the SLS AMG Roadster.
