At this year’s Tempel of Denim at the http://breadandbutter.com/” target=”_blank”>Bread & Butter Berlin trade show, renowned Japanese denim label http://japanblue.co.jp/momotaro/e_concept.html” target=”_blank”>Momotaro offered a preview of its Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The goods showcased the brand’s use of natural raw materials, typified by cotton yarn dyed with natural indigo, and premium details like a deer skin leather patch and peach-colored selvedge line. (The color references the Okayama home of the denim label, a region known for its peaches, as well as the Japanese folktale of Momotaro, the Peach Boy.) Highlights from the upcoming collection included lighter weight denim featuring updated blue warp/blue weft weave, plus a selection of kids’ jeans.
