The rest of the world might be searching for their greatness an the venues of 2012 Summer Olympics in London. However, a few found their moment to shine over the weekend at Nike Summer Jam 2012 in Taipei City, Taiwan. In front of the prominent arches preceding the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, the pro-am event, hosted by Nike Action Sports and Nike Skateboarding, saw more than a dozen local skaters going against one another. But the prize wasn’t just about bragging rights, trophies, or cash rewards, instead all were vying for the few coveted spots to represent Taiwan at next month’s Nike Festival of Sports in Beijing. Of course, not wanting to miss out on the actions, Stefan Janoski, the King of Style himself, along with Johnny Tang, took to the course as well as dispensing valuable tips to competitors. More Nike Summer Jam to come in the coming weeks around the Greater China region, all leading up to the grand finale at Festival of Sports near the end of August.
