Nike SB team rider Gino Iannucci has consistently blazed his own trail, a trait that extends to his choice of footwear from the Nike archive. His latest shoe is a reworked Challenge Court, with the changes limited to a slimmed down silhouette, extended ankle collar and a Lunarlon sockliner. The shoe was originally worn by tennis legend John McEnroe, who not only debuted the shoe but wore it while competing in events including the Davis Cup, the Australian Indoor Championship and the Grand Prix Tournament in Tokyo. Old school and new collide in this latest promotional clip from Nike SB, in which Long Island native Iannucci runs into Queens kid McEnroe at the Corona Park tennis stadium in Flushing, with both sporting the Court Challenge. With a nod of the head, McEnroe confers his approval. Check out the video below.
