A year sure went by quickly, and while the locale was still the same, the audience was quite different. When http://nikeskateboarding.com” target=”_blank”>Nike SB Team riders Paul Rodriguez, Eric Koston, Shane O’Neill and Omar Salazar took to the temporary skate park at http://freshnessmag.com/2011/08/19/nike-festival-of-sports-nike-sb-skate-demo/” target=”_blank”>2011 Nike Festival of Sport, majority of the gathered fans have never experienced a professional skate venue before. Fast forward to 12 months later, the crowd was still as enthusiastic as ever, except their knowledge of skate have doubled during the months before. Even if the sport is still in its infancy when you compare it to basketball, all those who attended the event will tell that popularity of skateboarding in China isn’t just growing, it is thriving beyond their expectation. Can’t wait to see what next year’s skate demo will bring…
