The world’s first ever smartphone to run Windows Phone 8, the Samsung ATIV S has been unveiled at the IFA trade show in Berlin. The device has a slim hairline design featuring a 4.8-inch, 1280-by-720 Super AMOLED display, plus an impressive 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and HSPA + 42 connectivity. There’s a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, as well as a front-facing 1.9-megapixel unit. It supports Wi-Fi (including 5Ghz), NFC and Bluetooth, and comes in a 16GB or 32GB version with a MicroSD slot for more storage. A 2300mAh battery ensures longer life.
