At this year’s World Football Challenge, American and Canadian fans got a front row seat to watch some of the world’s top club teams battle it out in cross-league match-ups usually reserved for European stadiums. Running from mid-July through August 11, the competition saw 11 teams representing Europe’s UEFA Confederation and the America’s CONCACAF, including last year’s Champions League winners, Chelsea, La Liga’s reigning champ, Real Madrid, and the 18-time winner of Italy’s Serie A, AC Milan, alongside Liverpool, the LA Galaxy, D.C. United, Mexico’s Santos Laguna, and France’s Paris Saint-Germain. After 9 games, the cream rose to the top, with Real Madrid winning the competition for the second consecutive year, followed by Chelsea and AC Milan in third. To help close out the competition, adidas released their own World Football Challenge 2012 Cap Collection, repping the colors and badges of the three top teams on a old-school snapback, which is available now at select retailers, including Japan’s Amazingstore.
