Say what you will about pen and paper, on the wastefulness and inefficiency of this most traditional medium of communication. Nothing still, however, can beat its simplicity and tactile nature. So when Phil Libin, the CEO of Evernote, the immensely popular digital note-taking software, appeared with Arrigo Berni, CEO of the most popular notebook maker Moleskine, during last week’s Evernote Trunk Conference. The outcome was the Evernote Smart Notebook by Moleskine. It isn’t just a convergence of analog and digital, but of traditions and contemporaries, the Evernote Smart Notebook allows to jot, sketch, doodle down ideas spontaneously. And because of its special paper, in either squared or ruled, Evernote’s Page Camera function is able to pick up whatever that was written. Now you can effortlessly archive, organize, or share your spontaneity, creative expressions, or just a plain note of reminder.
Evernote Smart Notebook by Moleskine comes in two sizes, Pocket Size at 3.5″ x 5.5″ and Large Size at 5″ x 8.25″, with either selection of Ruled or Squared paper. All are available for pre-order now at Evernote online store. Lastly, though Evernote Smart Notebook by Moleskine only works with Evernote App for Apple iOS devices, Evernote and Moleskine are both working with Samsung in creating one for Android devices that should be available later on this year.
