Nike Basketball Kevin Durant China Tour 2012 Hong Kong | Event Recap

By - August 30th, 2012

Oklahoma City Thunder‘s Kevin Durant is a real embodiment of Nike‘s current theme, “Find Your Greatness”. Since turning pro in 2007, Durant already collected the NBA Rookie of the Year award, selected to be on the All-Star team roster three times, claimed three consecutive scoring champion titles, took his team to their first NBA Finals, and more recently, a Gold Medal from the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. And he’s only 23 years old. It is also another reason why the younger generation of basketball fans in China can associate with Durant so well, evident from his Greater China tour this week.

During the final leg of the journey, Durant stopped by Nike League 2012 training camp in Hong Kong and instructed camp attendees on complex maneuvers they will only see at professional level of play. After a Q & A session on the finite points of the game, Durant swung by Nike Basketball store in Hong Kong’s Wai Chai District to personally unveil his new signature edition, the Nike Zoom KD IV – Gold Medal, at the store’s Kicks Lounge conference. On Friday, Durant will wrap-up his Great China tour at Wai Chai’s Southorn Playground for an All-Star tournament before heading back to OKC for the start of the new NBA season…
