Inspired in part by The Simpsons’ “Goo Gai Pan” episode, where Homer cleverly disguised himself as Buddha, the Kidrobot x The Simpsons – Homer Buddha comes with a wealth of munchies. On one hand is a pretzel, the other meditation beads, all the while Homer “hovers” on a giant pink frosting doughnut.
Long ears signify past wealth, a big head represents the disconnection between mind and body, a tuft of hair symbolizes great inner wisdom, and a giant fried dough topped with pink frosting and rainbow jimmies equals deliciousness.
With a pretzel in one hand, and beads in another, Homer passes down the oral tradition of donut eating.
Retails for $50 and comes in a special packaging designed to be like a take-out box for Chinese food, the Kidrobot x The Simpsons – Homer Buddha is available now through Kidrobot online store and all Kidrobot retail locations, including the new Kidrobot Boulder storefront.
