In a cross-pollination of design unlike any other, CONVERSE comes together with both nightclub owner Andrew Saravia (aka Monsieur A) and Olivier Zahm’s French magazine, Purple, to rework the iconic Chuck Taylor All-Star silhouette into two special edition versions. Last week, we detailed the ins and outs of the off-white colorway option, which comes with either a pink or purple outsole to match the appropriately-colored beading wrapping around the midsole. But now we also can introduce to you a black version of the vintage kick that also carries leather lining, a colorful outsole, and the co-collaborators’ branding on the tongue. Further distinguishing this pair from the others is the appearance of the names of Saravia’s Le Baron and Le Bain night clubs in place of the typical CONVERSE badge on the ankle of the hi-top shoe. Both editions are exclusive to CONVERSE First String shops, including Canada’s HAVEN, who has them currently in stock online and in-store.
