Deep Sea Angler Fish By Justin La Doux

A lamp that’s capable of eliciting screams when it pops up in the dark, the Deep Sea Angler Fish is a five-foot-tall lighting fixture created by artist Justin La Doux and inspired by the bioluminescent anglerfish that lives in the deep seas. The menacing lamp is created from materials like bicycle parts, a scoop shovel and other miscellaneous tools, while the teeth are formed from knives, forks and scissors. A “fishing pole” light, like on its real-life counterpart, hangs suspender over the structure’s open mouth. As it draws in its prey, a motion sensor mechanism triggers the other lights at the eyes and body. If you have a few thousand dollars to spare, the sculpture/lighting fixture is available for purchase through the artist’s http://etsy.com/listing/84086583/deep-sea-angler-fish?ref=pr_shop” target=”_blank”>Etsy page.
