Design notes emblematic of Derrick Rose’s Chicago roots are a common thread among the various incarnations of the celebrated point guard’s signature shoes. This upcoming colorway of the adidas D Rose 3, dubbed “Chicago Fire,” pays tribute to the Chicago Fire Department, featuring an upper crafted from rubberized synthetic materials in a bright neon green hue that mimic a firefighter’s turnout coat. Three-stripes branding on the back and outsole are finished in grey, similar to knee and elbow pads on turnout coats and coveralls, while the black SPRINTFRAME construction has a glossy surface reminiscent of rubber fire boots. Additionally, the interior of the left tongue carries the CFD logo with the Rose “1” appearing in the middle, while the tongue on the right shoe is imprinted with a lasered Derrick Rose signature. Expect the limited edition kicks to drop tomorrow at adidas.com, Foot Locker and Eastbay.com.
