The second official trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated “Django Unchained” reveals plenty of Tarantino touchstones: colorful dialogue, violence mingled with dark humor, and a willingness to tackle sensitive subjects head-on. It also provides the underpinnings of the narrative framework, depicting Jamie Foxx as a freed slave who teams up with a bounty hunter (Christoph Waltz) to rescue his wife (Kerry Washington) from a plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio) who looks as if he could break out in diabolical mustache twirling at any moment. In addition to action sequences that recall classic spaghetti westerns, we get a look at Samuel L. Jackson and Jonah Hill in supporting roles.
