Long expected as the next addition to its product line, the http://apple.com/ipad-mini” target=”_blank”>iPad Mini will be Apple’s answer to the fierce competition within the ever crowded tablet market. A display measured at 7.9-inch diagonally, the new device will weigh around .68 pound, or as much a legal pad. And with a thickness of only 7.2mm, its no thicker than a normal No. 2 pencil. From appearance, its just like a miniature version of the regular iPad, though Apple execs stressed otherwise. To optimize user’s experience, Apple’s lead designer Jonathan Ive, along with the rest of his and engineering team went back to the beginning. By carefully eliminating and upgrading components, such a thinner 0.2mm display glass, Apple was about to create the thinnest and lightest iPad to date. Pre-order for the Wi-Fi version is to start this Friday, October 26th with delivery date set on November 2nd. Availability for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version will follow two weeks afterwards.
