Whether or not graffiti can be considered an art form is a matter of opinion, yet there is no denying that graffiti writers are artists. REVOK is a notorious artist that refined his skills on the streets of Los Angeles. Currently residing in Detroit, the famed writer has widened his scope by producing artworks to express himself. His upcoming exhibition, Ordinary Things, consists of installation and sculptural pieces constructed from collected materials from the streets, derelict homes, and abandoned factories in Detroit. Intended to show the city in a different light, the abstract works bring into focus the beauty of the Motor City. The exhibition will take place in early November at Library Street Collective until early next year.
Exhibition Dates: November 2, 2012 (Friday) – January 26, 2012 (Saturday)
