Originally developed for the United States Army as a synthetic alternative to goose-down insulation, PrimaLoft is compressible and breathable, providing superior warmth without the bulk. It’s those qualities that led adidas Originals to use the material across a suite of products for Fall/Winter 2012, featuring two footwear styles and an outerwear piece. Presented in understated black or a bright blue “Pool” colorway, the Mountain Marathon TR takes the classic alpine boot silhouette and adds PrimaLoft lining for winter-ready construction. The insulating material is coupled with a thermal sockliner within the ZX TR Mid, a mid-cut trail shoe that features a long-haired suede upper for an outdoors aesthetic. Finally, PrimaLoft padding benefits the adidas Originals Nylon Warmer, a classic nylon parka that comes in Oak or black hues. Look for the PrimaLoft Pack to arrive soon at select adidas Originals retailers.
