For Chris, one of the major perks of the vaunted position is the chance to team up with http://vans.com/microsites/otw/” target=”_blank”>Vans OTW‘s design team to create his custom take on the Alomar. The result is a footwear collaboration wearing a bright red colorway that speaks to an ’80s skate/BMX influence, featuring lightning bolt embroidery at the side panel reminiscent of biking decals, plus a faded checkerboard midsole paying tribute to the ’80s design that originally put the brand on the map. A combination of pig suede and ballistic nylon across the upper, accented with a royal blue interior and 3M reflective material at the tongue and heel tabs, come together to make a shoe worthy of its action sports heritage. Look for the kicks to release through select Vans OTW retailers in November.
