DiegoKoi Hyper Realistic Illustrations

See this artfully shot black and white photo? What if we told you it’s not a photograph at all, but a hand drawn pencil illustration? It’s difficult to believe, but that’s precisely what’s going on here. The hyper realistic drawing is the handiwork of 22-year-old Italian Diego Fazio, a self-taught whiz with a pencil who originally worked as a tattoo artist. Fazio, who goes by DiegoKoi, counts Japanese artists of the Edo Period — especially Katsushika Hokusai — as a major influence. Check out more examples of his work below, and find out more about DiegoKoi through his http://diegokoi.it/” target=”_blank”>site and deviantART http://diegokoi.deviantart.com/” target=”_blank”>page.
