AD Creative ADzero Smartphone Made from Bamboo

You don’t have to be a tree-hugger to appreciate the design and technical genius behind AD Creative‘s ADzero Smartphone made out of bamboo. Designed by a joint UK and Chinese duo who were tired of the fact that all mobile phones looked the same, this gadget uses four-year-old organically-grown bamboo that has been specially treated for durability and a clean, smooth texture for its outside shell. ADzero runs on Android, but it also has its own unique features not available any current device, including “ring flash” around the external 8 megapixel camera to provide even illumination and prevent shadows. Inside it has the same 1.4 GHz Samsung Exynos 4 quad-core processor as the Galaxy S III along with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The screen boasts 1280 x 720 HD quality, locked within a 11.mm thin enclosure. Wider availability of the ADzero will be supported by a soon-to-be launched Kickstarter project so stay tuned for more on this device in the coming weeks.
