21-year-old Joseph Namad skipped college to open an art gallery in New York City, setting himself apart from his prolific art dealing family by devoting his space to contemporary art. The latest exhibition, curated by Nemo Librizzi and Joseph Nahmad, is entitled “Deep Space” and features works from a quartet of legends from the worlds of graffiti and street art: Matta, FUTURA, RAMMELLZEE and PHASE2. The show is scheduled to open Friday, November 9th, at the Joseph Nahmad Contemporary on 450 West 14th Street in New York City, with an opening event scheduled from 6 – 9 p.m. (Send RSVPs here.)
